Learn about Chevrolet Silverado (GMT T1XX) 2019-2021 fuse box and relay’s locations, functions, and maintenance tips for optimal vehicle electrical system.

The Chevrolet Silverado (GMT T1XX) 2019-2021 is a full-size pickup truck available in various cab and bed configurations to meet diverse needs, from everyday work to family travel. With options including Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab, as well as multiple bed lengths, the Silverado offers flexibility and a rugged design. Known for its powerful performance, the Silverado T1XX platform features modern technology, comfortable interiors, and robust towing capabilities.

The Silverado’s complex electrical system, which powers advanced features like driver assistance and infotainment, relies on well-organized fuse boxes and relays. The primary fuse box is located under the hood, while an additional fuse box may be found within the cabin, usually near the dashboard. Relays, which manage high-current components like the starter motor, fuel pump, and lighting, are also located near these fuse boxes. Regular inspection of these components helps maintain smooth electrical operation.

WARNING

  • Never replace a fuse with one that has a higher amperage rating.
  • A fuse with a too-high amperage could damage the electrical part and cause a fire.
  • On no account should fuses be repaired (e.g. patched up with tin foil or wire) as this may cause serious damage elsewhere in the electrical circuit or cause a fire.
  • If a fuse blows repeatedly, do not keep replacing it. Instead, have the cause for the repeated short circuit or overload tracked and fixed.
  • Terminal and harness assignments for individual connectors will vary depending on vehicle equipment level, model, and market.
