Learn about Citroën C1 2005-2013 fuse box and relay’s locations, functions, and maintenance tips for optimal vehicle electrical system.
The Citroën C1 (2005-2013) is a small city car that is available in two primary body styles: a three-door and a five-door fuseboxpro. Compact and efficient, the C1 is designed for urban driving, offering nimble handling and great fuel efficiency. Despite its small size, it features a surprisingly spacious interior with modern amenities such as air conditioning, a CD player, and optional electric windows.
In terms of the electrical system, the C1’s fuse box and relays play a crucial role in ensuring that all electronic components function properly. The fuse box, typically located under the dashboard or in the engine bay, manages essential electrical circuits like the lights, power windows, and the central locking system. The relays are housed nearby and are responsible for regulating higher current systems, including the fuel pump and air conditioning. Regular checks and proper maintenance of the fuse box and relays help prevent electrical faults, ensuring that the car’s features remain reliable during daily use. Understanding the fuse and relay layout is key to diagnosing and fixing any electrical issues efficiently in the C1.

WARNING
- Never replace a fuse with one that has a higher amperage rating.
- A fuse with a too-high amperage could damage the electrical part and cause a fire.
- On no account should fuses be repaired (e.g. patched up with tin foil or wire) as this may cause serious damage elsewhere in the electrical circuit or cause a fire.
- If a fuse blows repeatedly, do not keep replacing it. Instead, have the cause for the repeated short circuit or overload tracked and fixed.
- Terminal and harness assignments for individual connectors will vary depending on vehicle equipment level, model, and market.
Citroën C1 2005-2013 fuse assignment
